Insurance department has new online rate guide
Louisiana residents have a new online tool for comparing homeowner's and auto insurance rates. Commissioner of Insurance Jim Donelon announced that new rate comparison guides are available on the Department of Insurance Web site at www.ldi.state.la.us.

LOS ANGELES -- Nearly two dozen men and women, including lawyers and chiropractors, were arrested Tuesday, accused in a large scale auto insurance fraud ring that netted more than $450,000.
